If your not careful parties can become quit costly, yes even baby showers, so be careful. There are however many ways that you can cut costs and still have the best baby shower without spending a lot of money. One of the easiest ways to do this is with cheap baby shower favors.

Now, just because something is cheap, doesnt mean that it has to be tacky! There are many inexpensive things that you can use for baby shower favors that will be very nice, and inexpensive.

Of course, the easiest way to cut cost is to make things yourself. A few easy things are to buy some small, cellophane bags and fill them with different types of goodies. You can use pretty, pastel after dinner mints, home-made sugar cookies (sprinkle them with colored sugar to match your party color scheme), or you can order custom color M&Ms on-line and fill your bags with them.

Some other ideas are to make magnets with the due date and the mother-to-bes name and address. Guests can use these as a reminder to send a card for the mom and her new arrival. These are easy to assemble. Print the information on some colored cardstock and then stick a self-stick magnet on the back.

You can use the same concept, except attach the card to a votive candle with a pretty ribbon. This is very simple, and inexpensive.
